Please answer i would like opinions so i can make a good choice?

so i just have a question boys if a close girl mate of yours was going to move closer to you like youre 1000km away from each other at the moment but they guna move to your location so you can see each other more and for a change of scenery.. would you want to know before hand that they were moving up? or would you rather be surprised and have them txt you when they actually arrive in your town? ie im the girl but im wanting to know whether to tell my guy mate or surprise him. what you guys reckon?? :) and thanx ahead for answering should probly also add we are amazingly close friends with an awesome bond went up and had a weekend away with him 2 weeks ago and missed him as soon as i left and he says he misses me too :) so do you think it would be an amazing surprise or should i tell him? i know im definitly moving up for my own reasons too. hes been a bit down lately so thought it would brighten him up a little and if he did still want to pretend i live 1000 km away then would be fine coz i wana move for my own reasons too want to explore a new town just thought would be nice to know a mate there. so if it was you would you wana be surprised or told? ive told him i have a big surprise lined up for him on the 15th june he will get an awesome text about it which is this.. but now thinking maybe i should just tell him not torture him to death with curiousity? as many opinions possible would be good. cheers guys for ur time :)
