Help!! The power supply on my HP personal media drive has failed?

If your power supply has burnt out you should really smell it and at the time there should have been a pop sound along with a smell. This happens about 80-% of the time but not always. Dont worry about the pictures there on your hard drive so it wont be a problem. At the most it sounds like you may need a new motherboard best thing to do is if your comfortable switch the power supply around with another one and see if it works. If that doesnt work then it could be your motherboard but the important thing is your hard drive is safe
