Armed robbery sentences?

ok someone i know is getting charge with armed robbery but before he was taking in they had in the paper that a man was robed by two men and a girl in a black car but he got took in yesterday an it is saying now that it was Just two men that had mask on some one put his name in it an cause he has a prior ault conviction for lynching and was currently on parole but has met with his officer when he was suppose to an had proof that he was looking for a job and actually had one till they started laying off they took him in the person said that the men had on mask so he didn't really see who they where will those charges stick is their any way could we take it to the trial an beat it and if not wat kind of time is he looking at
