What is the message of the story "Footprints in the Sand"?

I love that story! I have it on a plaque on my fridge! It's basically just saying that when things get tough we always feell like we're going through it alone. We even blame God for all the bad stuff, but in reality, that's when God is actually there for us the most! He's the one who is carrying us, and helping us get through all the crap. Unfortunately, we never see it, and then when thingss are going great, we think we did it all by ourselves! Thanks for the reminder! I needed that today!! :)
