Im not sure who would win but the thing is the U.S. modern tanks can blow up a anti-air wraith and a wraith ghost and chopper and U.S. Jet fighters can shoot down banshees down easly is because the banshees are too slow and the jet fighters are too fast. The brutes have shield generators over them and they could easly kill all the U.S. troops. Imagine they attack new york city like in cloverfield and imagine it happens after halo 3.
