Personal experiences with ttc and irregular cycles please?

So, I was on bc for about 7 yrs. I stopped my bc early june 2010. i never had a period after i stopped the pill until a PA at the doctor's office put me on a round of Provera in December. I had a withdrawal bleed from this medicine and nothing since. No period=no ovulation. So now here my and my husband are on 9 months of ttc with no success. I can't even time when we bd because i never have my period. I expressed my concern to the PA in November and she said that if I did not have a period again by March to come back and see one of the DOCTORS at the office. I straight out told her I have an underlying problem (no periods) and was getting frustrated with ttc and asked her for Provera AND clomid-she refused the clomid until we have been trying for 1 yr. Has anyone gotten pg with a similar irregular cycle experience? Do you think I should actually wait 2 more months to see the MD again or go back sooner? Thank you for your time.
