Major help with Ares Galaxy!?

I have the latest version downloaded, but I deleted it from my computer because everytime I tried to cancel downloads in the Transfer tab, it WOULDN'T do anything! So I did that, and then I restarted my computer, but it *still* shows up in my taskbar. I go to Control Panel to see if its still there, but its gone... the only thing I'm having a problem with is that its still showing up in the taskbar even after I deleted it from my computer! HELP!
