Actually, your question begs for relevance. Two world wars - both presidents, democrats went before congress and asked congress to declare war. Both those wars were justifiable. Korea - Harry Truman. Vietnam - first troops sent by Eisenhower, war expanded by LBJ, was the military lying about the attack in the gulf of Tonkin? I think it came out not so long ago that was the case. Panama, Grenada, two wars in Iraq - Republicans. So what is your point? Eisenhower warned of the military industrial complex but Eisenhower also green lighted the US removing democratically elected governments in Central America and Iran. Nixon and Kissinger sabotaged the Paris peace talks to win him the 1968 presidential election and green lighted the ination of democratically elected president of Chile Salvador Allende on 9/11/73. Reagan's people sold crack in the inner cities of the US to buy weapons to illegally sell to Iran, then used those profits to fund right wing terrorism in Central America.
